i’m slapping da bass!

If I laugh at all the next few days, it’s because I’m thinking of this scene. If I’m smiling, it’s likely I am also thinking of Paul Rudd. *sigh* :)

Just as awesome as the movie. I love posters like this – the ones that you see something new each new time you look at it.

This actually exists. Like, it’s not from a movie. You can purchase this, ship it to yourself, and eat it. And maybe share. Chocolate coma to follow.

These would probably be far cuter if I had kids of my own to remind them of these things, but let’s be honest. I do, in fact, need constant and incessant reminders to pick up my clothes. And the dishes one, for sure. They just need one for flossing.

My favorite part of the day deserves something this adorable. I found this by searching “breakfast”. Yes, breakfast.

I really enjoy the way it looks with that frame. I have a ginormous crush for refurb’ed antique frames. It seems that antique stores have caught on to this fact and feel the need to make me pay 50 bucks for broken ass vintage frame. C’est la vie.

Vintage Wallpaper Lampshade by drawflowers

I like the idea of the lampshade, but isn’t this what happens with 90% of us: we buy one, put it up, it looks lonely, we move, and it remains in storage. I have like SIX lantern lampshades that this has happened to. Regardless, this one is totally adorable. I would bring some much needed color into my very drab kitchen.

biscuits for tea

August 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

One of the things I loved most about New Zealand culture was when you went over to people’s houses, young or old or whatever, they would put the kettle on, and serve some tea with biscuits. And every person always had biscuits (cookies) or a cake or a pie that they could cut up and serve with the tea and coffee. It was so perfectly English and proper and quaint. I wish I had kept up that tradition! My very proper Mother would be so proud. And I would serve perfect little things like this:

peach cupcakes with brown sugar frosting.

Could these cupcakes look anymore delicious? Get in my belly.
